Pilates for Pregnancy

Sandee is the third pilates trainer I have worked with and I will never go anywhere else. I would always hit a plateau with my other instructors, but with Sandee, I am always acheiving better results, week after week.
When me and my husband decided to add to our family, I figured it would take awhile since my first son took over 5 years, but it took 2 months. I really believe that pilates helped my body to get pregnant again.
I did pilates twice a week through my pregnancy and stopped 2 weeks before my due date because moving was becoming very difficult with my belly that big and that low. Sandee always modified the exercise for me so I was not left doing nothing in the group classes. I know it was a challenge some days, but it was worth it! Even though I gained over 50lbs, I was still toned and looked great!
When it came time to give birth, pilates did nothing for the pain (but that is what epidurals are for), but it did help me push my baby boy. With my first son, I pushed for almost 3 hours. With this one, I pushed a total of 3 times and I attribute that to strong core muscles from doing pilates.
Thanks to pilates, my body also sprang back into shape very quick. My stomach was mostly flat after 2 weeks and I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months... all with doing NO exercising. I really believe that if I did not do pilates while I was pregnant, I would have had to work much harder to get back in shape.
I finally started back with Sandee after 5 1/2 months. All my measurement were all back to normal except my thighs. Also, after one class with Sandee, I was able to touch the floor again... something that took me months to do before. My body remembered!!
Thank you so much!!
